HOW IT ALL STARTED

Our Story

2008

It all started with a quote.

Automoves started in 2008 as a car shipping quote website, helping Canadians compare rates across car haulers.

2012

From quoting to coordinating.

By 2012, we stepped into brokering, streamlining bookings and dispatch for carriers. The business grew quickly, and within two years we had regular transport lanes running between western and eastern Canada.

But brokering had limits. We had no real-time control over third-party carriers, and customers were expecting delivery timelines we couldn't always guarantee. Most brokers accept this as a cost of doing business. We didn't.

2014

We acquired our own assets.

In 2014, we opened our first shipping terminal, bought our own haulers, and took direct control of operations.

That shift gave us something most competitors still don't have: full oversight of every vehicle from the moment it's loaded to the moment it's delivered.

Today

A nationwide operation we're proud of.

Today, we operate 7 terminal locations from British Columbia to Newfoundland and Yukon, with dedicated warehouses in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, and Halifax.

Our Mission

To make vehicle transport across Canada faster, more reliable, and more transparent. We invest in our own fleet, terminals, and technology so that every shipment is handled to the same standard, no matter the route, vehicle, or volume.

That means operating our own car haulers instead of relying on third-party carriers. It means running 7 terminal locations across Canada so that open carrier transport and enclosed shipping all move through infrastructure we control. It means building Automoves ONE technology so every client gets real-time tracking, digital condition reports, and delivery confirmations without having to pick up the phone. And it means offering climate controlled storage at our own facilities for clients who need a safe place to keep their vehicle between moves.
